I have mushrooms growing in my landscape mulch.

I have found mushroom growing at about 4 inches in my landscape mulch beds. Does this present an issue with fungus, or have the potential to harm my flowers? How can I remove them?

Fungi are natural in landscape mulches. As a matter of fact, if you buy a natural mulch you are going to have bacteria and fungus. These are what breaks down and decomposes the wood.

The only real threat that the mushrooms have is that they may be poisonous if eaten. So please, don\'t eat them! Other than that they will not harm your plants. You can let them go for an added natural look (I actually like the look of mushrooms sometimes) or simply remove them.
